PHP & Friends @ FOSDEM is committed to creating an event that is as inclusive as possible. We want to showcase talent available around world and welcome international submissions.
PHP & Friends @ FOSDEM aims to be a welcoming event, where people meet in a friendly environment. Accordingly, we expect that all participants show respect and courtesy to other participants throughout the conference.
Be aware that the FOSDEM Conference is organised on Belgian soil and hence the specific anti-harassment and anti-sexism laws apply in full which goes far beyond any typical Code of Conduct. This includes reversal of proof: victims are not required to demonstrate the wrongful intent, but rather the accused have to prove they acted respectfully without the intent of harassment.
In line with our vision and the law, we are dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion and we do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.
Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees. Behave professionally. Remember that harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate at all. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Should you as participant in any form witness or experience any form of intimidation, harassment or worse, do contact the FOSDEM staff and we will take the necessary steps to enforce these principles and initiate legal proced ures.
Please refer to the global FOSDEM Code of Conduct for more information.
